Horrible people except for Diego and Barry (only 2 employees who are good and kind). They are uncaring, do not wish to assist their customers, even when they CANNOT help what has happened in their lives. I had a car totalled in February when I was coming from work and hit a patch of ice. A lady then crossed the center line in the road and slammed into the van I had purchased to replace the first car and TOTALLED IT in July. Now, I'm less than a week from school starting, have two kids, no car and am stressed to point my chest is tight. Called Rent A Center and got Amanda who went from being a nice person to a mega you know what in about 3 seconds flat when she heard I could not make my payment. We've been behind but as all know this company is already charging 3X the amount furniture ACTUALLY COSTS. We got behind due to my daughter needing 2 knee surgeries in November and April, my having shoulder surgery in December and the loss of not 1 but 2 cars. I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. LISA was the last good manager and she left this company for good reason.
if you do shop or plan to shop here watch out for chad the store manager he was recently extremely rude to me saying that he would embarrass me at my work because i was only 14 days past the payment date i am recently in college and have 3 small children so it gets really hard keeping track of all the bills i pay i honestly felt threatened so if you do not feel like being threatened in to making payments i would not discuss anything with chad the store manager in the conover nc location
